The Grant Committee presented its 2017 grant package. With these funds the Highland Lakes Service League will help prevent and care for children who are abused or neglected, feed the hungry, provide treatment options for those dependent on drugs and alcohol, and help with utility bills for those going through difficult times. Funds will help veterans access medical care, provide dental care for children, and repair a leaking roof for Seniors.  We will contribute to the new bison exhibit, children will experience the natural wonders of the Hill Country, and teenagers will gain awareness about drugs and alcohol.  Since animals also play an important part in many lives funding will assist in their medical care and protect them against canine flu.
