Golf Tournament:  Pam Parsons and Judy Salvaggio – FLO “For Ladies Only” Golf Tournament.  Judy announced that she now has close to $19,000 in sign sponsorships with 11 new sponsors.  She ask that we please support all of our sponsors. Pam Parsons went over a day in the life of the tournament so all volunteers would have a good idea of what is expected of them.

*Jo Walker will put the sponsor signs on the 150 yard marker at each tee box.

*Karyn Mason and crew will decorate at the tee boxes and putting green.

*Mary Kay Otto will be in charge of the putting contest.

*Diane Shubert’s team will take photos as the teams come in and a light breakfast will be served.

*Carolyn will go over the rules and send each team off.

There will be a small silent auction. Teams will arrive at 7:30 for registration and receive a swag bag. There will be hole sitters to watch for the closest drive and chip. Karyn and team will decorate the restaurant once golfers leave. Golfers can bid before and after the tournament on the silent auction.  From 12 – 12:30 lunch and awards will be presented, Diane will take pictures of the winning teams. Sponsor signs will be picked up after play.  Volunteers can purchase lunch which includes a grilled chicken sandwich, cookies, water and tea. Email Pam if interested in lunch. 10 teams of four so far have signed up. Pam will email assignments and is still looking for volunteers. There is no dress code just wear your name tag. After all the players leave we will take down decorations and clean up. Remember that all sponsorship signs’ money goes to charity and the cost of the tournament is covered by the entry fees. Which makes the tournament self-funding.

April 11, 2018 Meeting

Carolyn Richmond called the meeting to order at 12:05.  She announced that she is still in need of two more door prizes for June.  She also wanted to make sure you see the scrapbook from last year.

Introduction of new members and guests:
Shirley Schmidt introduced her two guests, Patty and Mary Kathryn Kane and guest Debbie Townsend was
introduced by Diane Shubert. Carolyn reminded new members at the meeting to pick up the directories for this year.

Inspiration – Annette Ussery gave us a talk about growing up in Marble Falls and the Highland Lakes area. Growing up in a small town with a river running through it was magical.  The changes they have seen in the last 85 years is amazing. Thanks to Lyndon Johnson the PEC co-op brought electricity to our area. Her prayer is that we continue to care for this land we call home.

Approval of Minutes – the minutes were approved as sent to members.
Treasurer’s Report -  the treasurer’s report was presented at each table and approved.
