March 3 was Community Service Day. Over 60 members participated in a number of activities throughout our Area. The final Service activity will take place on Monday and Tuesday, March 19 & 20 from 1:00 pm at the Highview Retiremnet Center, where we will paint their Community Centers Walls.
Notice has gone out to the public that interested women should contact Pam Rogers and/or fill out an application. Applications and Criteria can be found on this website under What we Do. Just click on the Word Scholarship. Applications need to be in by April 16th.
"Boots 'n Birdies" for Ladies only Golf Tournament
Judy Salvaggio spoke about the upcoming Golf Tournament, on Saturday, April 28th. This is one of two major Fundraisers for us. The funds made provides Grants to non-profit ministries in our community and scholarships to women trying to continue their education and further their careers.
Shirley Schmidt gave a wonderful Inspiration to start off the meeting.

Our Speaker today was Michael Thames who spoke to us about Camp of the Hills, a summer camp for children who come from impoverished communities. Last year they had over 650 children attend. They are also a Retreat Facility where they served over 2000 people through retreats last year. This year they are hoping to expand the camp and improve the facilities.
