  • ‚ÄčChristmas Market Days on Main in Marble Falls December 9th from 10:00am -4:00pm
  • Christmas is for Kids: Help is needed  Friday Dec. 15th at 6pm at Marble Falls Middle School and Saturday, Dec. 16th. Set up on Friday an fill bags for distribution on Saturday  
  • Meals and Wheels is still in need of volunteeers to deliver meals. Part time help of one or two days a month would be greatly appreciated. Please call Nancy Conely at (512) 639-1279 or (512) 715-9717
  • Shirley Beaudoin is in need of yarn. Some of her group home girls are learning to make caps and scarves and will be making items for the needy and Kingsland street ministry. Contact Shirley at (830) 798-4312
  • The Lions Club is hosting the Warm Coat drive again. There are boxes for collection throughout the city.  Also needed are used eyeglasses.

Presentation of Grants 

Merrill Laurentz presented the grants to the following Charitable recipients and their representatives: Texas Smiles-Jennifer Barton, Pet Pals-Linell Lane, Burnet County Child Welfare Board-Coleen Gregg, His Joshua House-Robert Hall, Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center-Billie Hudson, Highland Lakes SPCA-Maggie Jedlicka, Literacy Highland Lakes-Sally May, Open Door-Paula Mays Hall, Vet Rides-Sophie McCoy, Falls on Colorado Museum-Darlene Oostermeyer, Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Howard Otto, Helping Center-Sam Pierce, Marble Falls Senior Activity Center-Bob Quigley, Fellowship of Christian Athletes-Barney Sarver, and Casa For Highland Lakes Area.

The Program was presented by Chad Nelson, from the Burnet County Hunger Alliance. He spoke on the importance of all groups working together for the common cause.
